The Eye

 

The eye is a sense organ that detects light intensity & colour.

It has the following functions:

• Focus on near/distant objects  

• Adapt to bright/dim light

 

Accomodation is how the lens of the eye changes shape to focus on near/distant objects.

There are also some modern treatments that don’t involve glasses:

1. Contact lenses (hard/soft)  

2. Laser surgery → reshapes cornea  

3. Lens replacement - replaces the actual lens on someones eye
